I am the proprietor of YOU at Georgie’s, and a mother of 5 beautiful children.

 I grew up in a small country town named Bourke in outback NSW where I lived with my mum, dad, sister and brother. We had a very traditional country upbringing, spending most of our time out on the farm yabbying, pigging, riding motorbikes, mustering sheep and sometimes goats. I was, as I look back, a real tomboy! This is something my friends still laugh about with me now that I am a part of the beauty industry. 

In 2003 I moved to Perth WA, It was Perth where I decided to study Beauty Therapy. I attended college full-time where I completed my Diploma in Beauty Therapy, Certificate 2 in Nail Technology and Certificate 2 in Make-up Artistry, I also completed my ITEC exam, recognising me with a high level of international qualification in the industry. After completion of my studies I was offered a scholarship to work in the college salon for six months, after which I was given the position of managing the salon, overseeing the students from the college who visited for work experience. I was also able to participate in extra studies and countless product knowledge seminars.

In 2006 I moved to Goondiwindi. I settled into the town and started working out of a small room in a local hairdressing salon. I started to form a dream of opening my own salon and by 30th July 2007 the doors to YOU at Georgie’s opened. Since then, my salon and my dream have not stopped growing and developing along with the passion I have for what I do.

I am the newest Beauty Therapist to join the You at Georgie’s team. I completed my Diploma of Beauty Therapy at Demi International Beauty Academy in Toowoomba. I was born and raised right here in Goondiwindi, so I’m proud to be a part of a local business that helps people within our community feel confident and cared for. Skincare has become a huge passion of mine; after experiencing acne in my late teenage years, the journey helped me realise the importance of looking after ourselves. I truly believe that when your skin feels good, you feel good. My goal is to create a space where you can relax, recharge and leave feeling your absolute best. I believe there’s nothing more rewarding than helping someone achieve their beauty goals. I am excited to see where my career in the beauty industry takes me and am so pleased to be a part of such an amazing salon.

I am so excited to continue welcoming familiar faces and meeting new ones, I can’t wait to help each client feel amazing in their skin!
